Full Description
Board Odysseia, a traditionally-styled wooden boat, at the port of Nydri with a Greek family crew. See the islands of Meganisi and Lefkada, swim at Papanikolis and Skorpios, and enjoy a Greek feast with fresh meats, vegetables, and fruit, while you soak up the sun in Mediterranean paradise.
Learn about the history of Greek wooden boats and explore the grand deck of Odysseia while the crew hoists the 45 square-meter sail and sets off. Help yourself to seasonal fruit and ouzo with olives as you take in the scenery of the sea and islands.
Your first stop is for a swim at the cave of Papanikolis, one of the biggest marine caves of Europe. Stretch your legs at the old fishing village of Spartochori on the island of Meganisi and take a guided tour of the village and local church.
Next up is Klimaki, a secluded beach on the island of Lefkada. Grab some complimentary parasols, snorkeling gear, and beach toys from the crew so you can relax and splash around to your heart’s content.
While you’re enjoying the crystal waters and soft sands, the crew will prepare a delicious meat and vegetarian barbecue using exclusively local products. Treat yourself to an all-you-can-eat spread with accompanying wine and soft drinks.
Cruise in front of Skorpios, Jackie Kennedy’s famous private island, and see why the world’s rich and powerful choose this area as their personal paradise. Stop here for one last swim before heading back to Nydri on a different route, past the uninhabited island of Madouri and the Prince’s Islands.
